
ANN ARBOR, Mich., August 31, 2009 – For the first time in decades, Ann Arbor will host a fireworks display. Concordia University was recently approved by the city to host a 15-minute fireworks display at the end of its Labor Day Carnival.
The Family Fun Labor Day Carnival will be held on Monday, September 7, at Concordia University in Ann Arbor, Michigan. The carnival, which will run from noon until dark, will feature an inflatable obstacle course, 22 foot slide, basketball shootout, carnival games, dunk tank, pony rides, live bands and entertainment, karaoke contests, flag football games, concessions, raffles, and much more.
Admission to the grounds is $10 for 10-years-olds and older and $5 for children under the age of 10; children under the age of two are free. The price of admission provides unlimited access to the carnival games and activities. The carnival will take place at the field northeast of the Geddes Road and Earhart Road intersection, which is just west of US-23 at exit 39.
