ANN ARBOR, Mich., March 1, 2010 – Zach Johnston, a senior and business administration major at CUAA, spent the summer of 2009 interning with the Baltimore Orioles. Zach held the position of Public Relations and Special Events/Community Programs Intern.
When asked how the internship fit into his career goals, Zach said, “Going into the internship I thought being in a Public Relations Department with any sport team is exactly what I wanted to do in life, and I still think I would definitely enjoy it. However, I’m leaning more towards becoming an athletic director and coaching; but the internship still dealt with many things that an athletic director would deal with like the media, players and coaches, stats, press releases, interviews, etc.”
As a four-year member of the CUAA Cardinal Baseball team, Zach is an excellent example of how hardwork, discipline, and a quality education can help take you anywhere.
